Joseph Metcalf

Joseph Metcalf was born and raised in the rural mountains of central Colorado, and presently resides in San Diego.

 From early on he could be found exploring the wilderness, always intrigued by the ever-changing nuances of nature.  His sense of wonder would become a force in his creativity.

 The artist has been creating his bold style of painting since early 2000.  Metcalf achieves a precise and deliberate quality in an otherwise loose abstract approach.  His works have been featured in a variety of solo and group exhibitions, juried shows and have earned him numerous awards.
