Janet calls Marlow, Oklahoma her home, but her paintings represent
experiences she has had in travels throughout the world.
“In the past few years, I’ve had the privilege to travel throughout most of the U.S., Canada and several European countries, visiting museums of known artists where I was able to observe and study their original works, as well as painting en plein air.”
Janet’s education has been from a variety of local, state and national artists’ workshops, and she has studied under artists Laura Greenier, Juanita Gleghorn, Susan Jones, Judy McCombs, Gay Faulkenbury, as well as David Leffel, Ben Konis, Leonard Wren, Jim Wilcox, David Wade and Luke Frazier.
Sharing her talents with others, Janet has taught youths the elements of drawing, pastel and watercolor because she enjoys the opportunity to share and inspire them. Several of her students have gone on to major in art.
Janet’s artworks at MSB Art Gallery include original oils and limited edition/signed giclees.
