The Candia Brothers
Jose Candia
Jose Candia studied painting and design in his native city of Tandil in Argentina. He received a degree in surveying and in the 70’s practiced engineering. Later, he moved to Ontario, Canada.
Engineering detail is obvious in his paintings. His work is highly detailed, and when combined with his use of subdued color tones he creates intriguing paintings, especially noticeable in French village scenes.
Mario Candia
Like his brother, José, Mario Candia excels at minute detail in his paintings.
Mario’s Italian village scenes are bold yet not intrusive, and his use of detail, both lyrical and refreshing. He compels the viewer to linger and study each interesting nuance.
Mario lives in South America where he received a degree in architecture. He has been commissioned to do book and brochure illustrations, and his artworks are owned by some very exclusive collections in his native Argentina.
His limited edition giclees on canvas are individually signed and numbered by the artist himself.
